Master Reel Tape Duplication Process:
For the recording of master reel tapes, the original master tape 1/4" 15ips/30ips in NAB or CCIR curve were played on a Nagra-T Audio professional reel tape recorder, which is modified with high-end tube playback electronics, wired with OCC silver cables from the playback head direct to a Nick Doshi tube head preamplifier. The Nagra T Audio, with its four direct drive motors, two pinch rollers and a tape tension head, is one of the best transports ever made. A custom-built carbon fiber head block and a head damping electronic system permit to obtain more transparency and better 3D imaging.
All master reel tape copies are recorded on a Nagra IV-S reel tape recorder to brand new SM-900 tape as 15ips, ¼", 2-Track, Stereo, IEC (CCIR) OR NAB Eq. curve option.
