The Legacy Master Tapes

Sony Music Italy released several master tape copies of famous Italian artist's albums, like Lucio Battisti, Premiata Forneria Marconi, or Lucio Dalla.

The two-track master tapes are reproduced using a custom Studer A820 MKII recorder, and the tape copies are made via a second A820 MKII recorder with the same characteristics as the one used for playback, without any intermediate processing stage.
