Cannonball Adderley - Somethin' Else album for the first time on UHQCD - The Ultimate High-Quality Music Sound!
Somethin' Else is a seminal jazz album by alto saxophonist Cannonball Adderley, released on Blue Note Records in August 1958. It is widely considered a jazz classic and is notable for the prominent contributions of trumpeter Miles Davis, who appeared on the album as a sideman in one of his few recording dates for the label.
The album was recorded on March 9, 1958, at the Van Gelder Studio in Hackensack, New Jersey. At the time, Adderley was a member of Davis' sextet (which had just recorded the landmark album Milestones), and Davis' presence on the album was a favor to his bandmate. Despite not being a permanent working group, the collaboration resulted in a critically acclaimed masterpiece, earning a five-star review in Down Beat magazine.

All About Ultimate High-Quality CD (UHQCD):
UHQCD stands for Ultimate High Quality Compact Disc and is a joint development of the Japanese CD replication company Memory-Tech and the Audio Quality CD Company from Hong Kong. Unlike conventional CDs, UHQCDs are not pressed from polycarbonate, but cast from a photopolymer and cured with UV light. Another layer of high-purity polycarbonate is applied to the softer photopolymer for scratch protection. The combination results in significantly reduced reflection of laser light inside the CD and an unmatched, precise edge transition between pits and lands of the CD. UHQCDs are 100% compatible with standard CD players. Musically, the result is a sound image strongly reminiscent of analogue master tapes.
