AMAZÔNIA – Music For A Changing World is an orchestral album by Brazilian-American composer Miguel Kertsman, released globally on 7 November 2025. It features four earlier symphonic works performed by the Bruckner Orchester Linz under the direction of conductor Dennis Russell Davies.
The album is a symphonic tribute to the Amazon rainforest, capturing its beauty while serving as an ecological "call to awareness" regarding its destruction.
Miguel Kertsman’s orchestral Album featuring four of his earlier symphonic works. The tone poem, “Amazonia, Symphonic Poem” written at age 21 was composed as a tribute to and an ecology awareness call about the Amazon Rainforest as a warning about its continuing misuse andunsustainable exploitation. The piece has been performed six times, including an open-air concert in the heart of the Amazon Forest. Conductor Dennis Russell Davies directs the Bruckner Orchester Linz and Vienna Philharmonic Principal Flautist, the late Wolfgang Schulz, performing Kertsman’s “Sinfonia Concertante for Flute and Orchestra.”
