Mind-blowing Master Reel Tape! For the first time on reel tape - Original Stereo Recording, November 2nd, 1972, Radio Bern.
Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli (1920–1995) was an Italian pianist renowned for his technical perfection and legendary cancellations of recitals. His recorded recitals often feature a core repertoire of Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, and Scarlatti.
Michelangeli was known for extreme perfectionism. He famously traveled with his own Steinway Model C and D pianos and a personal tuner to ensure the instrument met his exact standards. These recordings showcase Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli's live recital performances from 1952 to 1988, featuring his signature repertoire of Scarlatti, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, and Ravel.
Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli was a legendary Italian pianist known for his near-perfect technique and deeply contemplative interpretations. Because he was famously selective and frequently cancelled performances, his recorded recitals are highly prized.
