Few audiophile recordings have achieved the enduring reputation of Antiphone Blues. Fifty years after its creation, this extraordinary meeting of Arne Domnérus’ saxophone and Gustaf Sjökvist’s organ remains one of the most celebrated demonstrations of acoustic space, instrumental colour and natural dynamics in recorded music.

For the 50th Anniversary Edition, AudioNautes presents AN-2508 as an uncompromising three-disc, 45 RPM, single-sided 1-Step vinyl edition, produced through an AAA all-analogue signal chain.

The generous single-sided 45 RPM format gives the music exceptional physical space on the vinyl, while the 1-Step manufacturing approach is intended to minimise the number of intermediary production stages between lacquer and finished record. The objective is straightforward: preserve as much information from the analogue source as possible.

LP Magazine, June 2025, described the release as a limited edition of 1,000 copies and judged it superior to previous editions, including AudioNautes’ own 2018 release. The review also noted the recording’s long-established status as a reference recording used internationally for evaluating high-end audio systems.
