Anne Bisson's Portraits & Perfumes is a celebrated audiophile jazz album originally released in 2011. Produced by Guy St-Onge, the album features Bisson's intimate vocals and piano across a mix of jazz standards, unique covers (such as Pink Floyd's "Us and Them"), and original compositions.

Canadian jazz vocalist/pianist Anne Bisson returns with her sophomore album, Portraits & Perfumes. Featuring covers from legendary artists such as Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Carole King, amongst others, along with two new musical gems written by Anne, this album is an audiophile must-have!

Bisson is joined again by some of the best jazz musicians in Québec and by legendary producer, conductor, and arranger Guy St-Onge. Recorded at St-Onge’s Studio Référence in St-Calixte, Quebec, Canada.

This magnetic audio tape is a direct copy from the original digital master using NAGRA HD DAC X ( vacuum tube) DA transferred to a custom NAGRA IV-S in CCIR eq curve at 15 IPS.

Anne Bisson is a many-sided artist. She first became known as a captivating and charismatic television personality, but in recent years she has been concentrating on music, her first love. A pianist since childhood, she won the prestigious Étoiles Du Maurier competition in 1984 thanks to two of her original compositions. Two years later, she sang the role of Cristal in a new version of the popular rock opera Starmania, which was created especially for the Festival d’été de Lanaudière (Quebec).

In 2009, after more than 20 years of a successful and eclectic career, Anne Bisson returned to her first love with a CD of her own musical creations, Blue Mind, in which she was accompanied by Normand Guilbeault (double bass) and Paul Brochu (drums). The critics were unanimous: Anne Bisson is a natural jazz artist!
