It is the second collaboration between Davis and Evans, a splendid version of the famous masterpiece by George Gershwin, an opera is a tale of African-American life in Charleston, South Carolina, and features some of Gershwin’s most famous compositions, including “Summertime” and “It Ain’t Necessarily So”.
