Anne Bisson's eighth album is finally available on master reel tape! “Guilty Pleasures” ... The title says it all!
| The album features Anne Bisson's interpretations of several classic hits alongside original compositions |
Anne Bisson didn't limit herself when selecting the repertoire, choosing only songs that are close to her heart and have been part of her musical DNA since childhood. The result is a versatile and surprisingly refreshing album, completely acoustic, from “Wild Horses” (Rolling Stones) to Pink Floyd's fantastic “Comfortably Numb” to Neil Young's big hit “Harvest Moon” and “In The Ghetto,” one of her absolute favourite classics by the “King”! She gave “Autumn Leaves /Les Feuilles Mortes” a sensual touch by asking Canadian singer Bruno Pelletier to sing this touching love song with her as a duet. These two beautiful voices, heard together for the first time, will give listeners goosebumps!
Musicians:
Anne Bisson - piano, Fender Rhodes, lead vocal, backing vocals
Samuel Jacques - piano on “Once Upon a Summertime / How Insensitive” & “Autumn Leaves / Les feuilles mortes”
Jacques Roy - electric bass, double bass, acoustic guitar
Guillaume Picard - drums
Julie Trudeau - cello on “The Moon is a Harsh Mistress”
Bruno Pelletier - lead vocal on “Autumn Leaves / Les feuilles mortes”
Hailing from the province of Quebec, artist Anne Bisson has built up a loyal fan base in Europe and won numerous awards – and rightly so: the fascinating jazz chanteuse, who has undergone rigorous training in classical piano and singing, made a name for herself with audiences and the music media, particularly with her commercially successful album “Blue Mind.” Audiophile listeners also appreciate the exquisite sound quality of her releases.

Recorded at Studio Opus with Jacques Roy (Tales from the Treetops, Bélanger & Bisson–Conversations), Anne Bisson's 2025 album Guilty Pleasures features Anne's takes on hits like "Wild Horses," "In the Ghetto," "Harvest Moon" and "Comfortably Numb," plus an "Autumn Leaves" duet with special guest Bruno Pelletier and 2 originals.
Anne accompanies herself on the piano with remarkable grace and elegance, while singing melodies that are both touching and true to heart. A stirring combination of poetry and jazz, melded with a warm voice that thrills and enchants from the very first note.
For her 6th album in 10 years, Anne called upon the talent and services of two ‘Giants of Jazz’: on drums, Joe LaBarbera, who has worked notably with Bill Evans and Chuck Mangione, and on acoustic bass, Darek Oleszkiewcz, who has worked with, among many others, Brad Mehldau and Sid Jacobs. Anne asked Producer/Recording Engineer Michael C. Ross to co-produce the album with her. Diana Krall, Queen Latifah and Christina Aguilera are some of the many prominent artists he has worked with.
The results are absolutely amazing. A mature, yet sparkling album that will not only satisfy the stringent expectations of her loyal audiophile fanbase, but will undoubtedly attract a whole new generation of admirers, afraid to challenge the boundaries of jazz and popular music.
July, 2019 saw Anne perform with a full symphonic orchestra in France and in August, she will be embarking on an Asian tour, with stops in Hong Kong, Taipei, Taiwan and Guangzhou, China, revisiting venues where she has known remarkable success in the past.
In September of 2019, Anne was awarded the prestigious Robert Charlebois Grant, sponsored by Power Corporation, for the unqualified success of her brilliant career on the international scene.
