MQA CD

TAKE ME THERE

An MQA-CD is a specialised high-resolution audio disc that uses Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) technology to store studio-quality sound within a standard CD format. These discs are backwards compatible, meaning they can be played on any standard CD player at normal 16-bit/44.1kHz quality.

MQA-CDs use a process called "music origami" to fold high-frequency data into the "noise floor" of a standard CD's 16-bit/44.1kHz container.

To the original performance, wherever you listen

MQA CDs stand for Master Quality Authenticated (MQA). MQA encodes or "folds" high-resolution master source (up to 352.8kHz) onto a CD, allowing any CD player to deliver more detailed, nuanced playback. When paired with a MQA-decoder, MQA-CD unveils the full master-quality, high-resolution recording.

NEW hi-fi hardware began supporting the MQA CD format.

MQA-CD can be any CD in the family of compact discs, such as regular CD, AQCD, HQCDII, UHQCD or Crystal Disc.  Certainly, MQA-CD plus Crystal Disc is the best of the best among all the CD formats.
