This amazing album is widely regarded as one of the greatest audiophile masterpieces ever recorded. Appreciated for its superb sound quality in the recording of choral and solo voices recorded by legendary sound engineer Bertil Alving in 1976, it set a new benchmark in sound engineering. Opening with Enrico Bossi’s “Cantate Domino” for choir, organ, trumpets and trombones, the choral album includes a superb performance of a number of Swedish folk songs as well as pieces by Handel, Otto Olsson, and others.

The legendary Cantate Domino returns in a spectacular 50th Anniversary Edition, presented as an audiophile Crystal Disc CD. This iconic choral recording is widely regarded as one of the finest analogue productions ever made, celebrated for its breath-taking realism, dynamic range, and spatial depth.
Recorded in the Örebro Mission Church in Sweden, the album features Oscar’s Motet Choir, soloists, and organ, capturing the natural acoustics of the church with extraordinary precision. The music spans sacred choral works, organ pieces, and traditional Christmas music, making it both an audiophile reference and a timeless musical experience.
This special edition is produced with the closest attention to sound quality and pressing standards, offering unparalleled transparency, warmth, and detail across all tracks.
Crystal Disc, a revolutionary Compact Disc using a glass substrate, new technology allows sound reproduction at a level previously unknown and is as close to the master sound source as cutting-edge technology allows. For this purpose, Crystal disc is fabricated by our Laser Disc technology cultivated over many years using the best-selected materials.
The use of a glass substrate instead of a conventional polycarbonate substrate. As the reflective layer, gold is adopted in exchange for conventional aluminium.
For pit transcription, the Photo Polymerisation process (2P process) using a metal stamper is adopted. This process makes pit transcription highly precise compared with the conventional injection moulding process. The technology of the 2P process was cultivated by our production of test discs for calibrating industrial optical pickup heads.
The surface flatness of the glass substrate is much superior to that of the conventional CD. The glass substrate is hardly influenced by the variation of temperature and humidity. Furthermore, the absence of birefringence coming from the optical uniformity of the glass substrate results in a signal with extremely low noise and low jitter.
Crystal Disc CD Format - Audio CD: A Crystal Disc is an ultra-premium, audiophile-grade compact disc format developed by Japan's Memory-Tech Corporation. Instead of the polycarbonate plastic and aluminium used in standard CDs, Crystal Discs utilise a pure glass substrate and a highly reflective gold layer, offering master-tape quality sound with virtually zero noise or jitter.
Crystal Discs adhere to the standard "Red Book" CD specifications, meaning they can be played on any standard, commercially available CD player. However, due to the expensive materials and hand-crafted manufacturing process, they are considered ultra-luxury collectors' items. They often retail for hundreds or even thousands of dollars per title, and are primarily targeted toward dedicated audiophiles and classical or jazz enthusiasts.
