This album was recorded during the Tibor Varga Festival at the Matze Hall, Sion, Switzerland, 1970 and 1971. Tibor Varga - Mendelssohn Violin Concerto were recorded at the Tibor Varga Festival with Studer C37 open reel tape recorders. Never-before-released or published material! Outstanding analogue sound quality. This LP Record AAA recording is a limited Edition of 300 hand-numbered copies only.

Tibor Varga was a true violinist's violinist, relatively little known to the general public. He is especially known for his interpretations of concertos by Béla Bartók, Alban Berg, and Arnold Schoenberg - works that were new to the repertoire at the time. 
First publication on open-reel tape.
