The album's name is a deliberate play on words highlighting its central instrument: the legendary Hammond B3 organ paired with a roaring Leslie 122 sound cabinet.

Tommy Schneider & Friends - Plan B3 is a highly acclaimed, 12-track audiophile jazz and blues album by Swiss multi-instrumentalist Tommy Schneider & Friends. Originally recorded live in the studio in November 2007 and released in 2008 by Kolibri Records, the album is famous for its pure, all-analog "AAA" production process. It has become a premier reference record for high-end audio enthusiasts to test the staging and warmth of premium sound systems.

Swiss Jazz musicians Tommy Schneider and Brian Auger continue the tradition of the great Jimmy Smith on the Hammond Organ. Tommy released, together with superb soloists three albums with groovy and warm sounds from blues, soul and swing, funk and Latino with rock elements from their guitar player.
