Another landmark collaboration between AudioNautes Recordings and Disk Union Japan is bringing an extraordinary new all-analogue production to audiophiles worldwide.
This marks the reunion of the Tsuyoshi Yamamoto Trio with legendary recording engineer Yoshihiko Kannari—this time captured in 100% PURE ANALOG from start to finish.

Recorded at the legendary ONKIO HAUS Studio No.1 in March 2026, the project was conceived around one simple idea:
“The Piano Sings.”

Every note was preserved on 1/2-inch, 15 ips analog master tapes, capturing the warmth, realism, and emotional depth that only true analog recording can deliver.

Plays Songs is the latest collaboration between the legendary Tsuyoshi Yamamoto Trio and acclaimed recording engineer Yoshihiko Kannari, recorded entirely in the analog domain at ONKIO HAUS Studio No.1 in March 2026. Built around the concept “The Piano Sings,” this album presents timeless melodies with extraordinary warmth, intimacy, and realism—bringing together masterful musicianship and world-class analog recording.

Yamamoto is a legend. Here we find his Trio recorded by another legend, Yoshihiko Kannari, well known by all TBM fans. The original master of this recording of March 2026 (by Y. Made-To-Order: Reel Audio Tapes are available; please allow 3 weeks for delivery. Analogue Audio Reel Tape are made to order, one at a time, transferred and assembled by hand. Each package includes 15 IPS 1/4” tapes in individual boxes and a certificate of authenticity.
