The Four Seasons is a group of four violin concertos by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi, each of which gives musical expression to a season of the year. These were composed around 1718 - 1720 when Vivaldi was the court chapel master in Mantua.

As is evident, this episode belongs to that style of music, "descriptive," so dear to some authors of the past, including Vivaldi. In spite of what he said about Stravinsky, Vivaldi — i.e., that he would have written the same concerto hundreds of times — it is the richness and variety of timbres and rhythms found to distinguish these songs, while in the identical construction scheme and the same processing structure. The merit of Sonatori Treviso, led by violinist Giuliano Carmignola, lies in their execution by Vivaldi, based on ancient instruments and techniques of contemporary compositions.
