Audiophile 33 ⅓ rpm 180g vinyl - coming to stock

Canadian jazz vocalist Emilie-Claire Barlow made a remarkable debut with TRIBUTE, her JUNO-nominated 2001 album. Bursting with energy, sophisticated jazz arrangements and expressive vocals, this recording introduced the warmth, musicality and unmistakable personality that would define her career.

Now presented by 2xHD as a premium 180g audiophile vinyl edition, TRIBUTE offers an opportunity to rediscover Barlow's early artistry through an all-analogue mastering and cutting process.

The vinyl is cut all-analogue at Bernie Grundman Mastering using tube cutting equipment, with mastering credited to René Laflamme. The production reflects 2xHD's emphasis on transparency, natural musical dynamics, tonal richness and authentic sound reproduction.

Important clarification: Although Nagra equipment is associated with 2xHD's mastering work, the available sources do not establish that the original 2001 TRIBUTE sessions were recorded entirely on Nagra analogue tape machines. The original recording method should therefore not be advertised as verified without additional production documentation.

Canadian jazz singer Emilie-Claire Barlow’s 2001 breakout, JUNO-nominated debut album, TRIBUTE, swings hard, revealing from the outset the energy and flair that would define her career. Her sound was already taking shape through sophisticated arrangements, expressive vocals, and warm storytelling.

The audiophile deluxe vinyl release of Canadian jazz singer Emilie-Claire Barlow's 2001 breakout debut album, Tribute, reissued by the independent audiophile label 2xHD.

With more than 13 albums released since then, Barlow has earned 7 JUNO nominations and 2 JUNO Awards. TRIBUTE captures that early spark at its best a vibrant, confident debut full of energy and musical personality.
