Lils Mackintosh, (born Amsterdam1955) is an award-winning jazz and blues singer and is considered one of the most distinguished artists in the Dutch jazz scene.
Lils has worked with the likes of Oscar Peterson, B.B. King, Scott Hamilton, Rita Reys, Madeline Bell and Georgie Fame.
This 180gm LP has been recorded to the highest standard, audio engineered using the STS Digital 'MW process' offering excellent clarity and true tonality, but most importantly - musicality. To ensure the finest sound quality, the LP pressings are direct from the metal master.
In STS Analog Recording, you will find:
1. The warm sound, that acoustic instruments possess on their own but is often not captured by sound technicians.
2. Acoustic placing and recognition of the musicians in the recording space.
3. Phase purity of a recording, both the electric phase (good cable/fibre connections etc), and the acoustic phase must be acquired through proper placement of the microphones.
4. Symmetry in the recording; this means always placing the microphones in such a way that on both the left and the right side there’s an equal division of signal, and not placing mono support microphones on the extreme left and right.
5. Transparency and clarity in a recording. This does not mean an overly sharp recording, but one of softness in tone and clarity, in which especially the 3-dimensional recording space is being displayed.
At every step they check the results and compare the process with the original recordings. If you listen to STS music productions remember that they did their utmost best to get for you all the benefits of our effort to go far beyond the best of the best.
Packaging: All LPs are shipped brand-new and unopened in original packaging. Every LP Record is shipped in original factory-applied shrink wrap and has never been touched by human hands. This is a new, unopened LP Record in its original packaging.
